Police remove Emerson University students demonstrating for a cease favor in the war in Gaza.

Boston police in riot gear arrest more than 100 students who had erected a tent encampment on Boylston Place, a public alley, on April 21, 2024. State police arrest another 100 students staging a similar demonstration on the Northeastern University campus on April 27, 2004. Other such demonstrations and encampments take place at this time on campuses at Harvard, Tufts, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as many other colleges across the U.S.
